People are making thousands per month renting tents online...what on Earth is Glamping??

It wasn't too long ago that I was skimming Airbnb and found something odd...someone was renting a tipi. But the real question was: Were the owners of this off-grid structure actually making money? Well, yes they were. Some quick math showed me they were making thousands of dollars per month through this new trend called Glamping.

What is Glamping? Put simply, it's glamorous camping. It's an elevated outdoor experience. Instead of sleeping in 10º weather in a cheap vinyl tent, you're now sleeping in an insulated canvas tent—complete with a memory foam mattress, mini-fridge and cast iron stove.

But are people actually willing to spend money to #glamp when they could just as easily rent a motel for the same price? I think the answer would surprise you. See, the thing is: People are seeking UNIQUE experiences more than ever. In an age where travel is a lot scarier than it used to be, people are looking to escape hotels, motels and lodges, so they can seclude themselves in Mother Nature. Away from all the hustle and bustle of city folk, traffic and light pollution.
